Fortified Pellet Mixed with Grain
AllegraŽ Baby Equine Formula is a 16% protein, fortified pellet mixed with grain, designed to help support bone, joint and muscle development in the growing horse. It is formulated using only the finest ingredients and balanced with the right amount of quality protein, fat, vitamins and chelated minerals. AllegraŽ Baby Equine Formula contains added probiotics, vitamin E, organic selenium, yeast culture, enzymes and added flaxseed oil to help provide fuel for the muscles, a healthy digestive tract and good skin, hair coat and hoof condition. AllegraŽ Baby Equine Formula is designed for creep feeding of foals and weanlings as well as pregnant and lactating mares.

FEEDING DIRECTIONS:
FOALS: To promote optimal bone and joint development offer 1/4 lb. of AllegraŽ Baby Equine Formula per day beginning at 30 days of age. When foal consumes 1/4 lb. of AllegraŽ Baby Equine Formula per day on a regular basis, the amount AllegraŽ Baby Equine Formula can be increased. As a general guideline, AllegraŽ Baby Equine Formula should be fed to foals at the rate of 3/4 - 1 lb. per 100 lbs. of body weight per day. For example a 400 lb. nursing foal should receive 3-4 lbs. of AllegraŽ Baby Equine Formula per day. The actual amount fed should be adjusted according to the foal's growth rate and body condition. Do not allow foals to become over-conditioned or fat. If this should happen, gradually reduce the amount of AllegraŽ Baby Equine Formula fed per day until the desired body condition is achieved.

WEANLINGS: Foals weaned at 4-5 months of age, normally weighing between 400-500 lbs., should receive 5-7 lbs. of AllegraŽ Baby Equine Formula per day along with free choice quality hay and/or pasture, salt and water. The actual amount of AllegraŽ Baby Equine Formula should be adjusted to maintain the weanlings desired growth rate and body condition. As the weanling matures to a yearling, the amount of AllegraŽ Baby Equine Formula can be increased to no more than 8-10 lbs. per day.

PREGNANT AND LACTATING MARES: Feed to last trimester pregnant mares and lactating mare, along with quality forage at a rate to maintain proper body condition. As a general guideline, feed pregnant mares between 5-8 lbs. and lactating mares between 8-12 lbs. of AllegraŽ Baby Equine Formula along with good quality hay and/or pasture, salt and water.

GENERAL FEEDING GUIDELINES:
Change to AllegraŽ Baby Equine Formula from other equine products gradually over a 5-7 day period to ensure a successful transition. Do not overfeed or offer AllegraŽ Baby Equine Formula on a free choice basis. Divide the grain ration into 2 or more feedings per day. Do not feed more than 0.5% of the horse's body weight in grain at any one time. Always try to maintain a regular feeding schedule. It is important to provide fresh clean water, plain salt and adequate forage at all times. Do not allow hot exercised horses free access to water until they have cooled-out.
