AllegraŽ Performance Equine Formula is a premium textured feed with multiple energy sources designed to meet the demanding needs of athletic horses, yearlings, last trimester pregnant mares, lactating mares and breeding stallions. AllegraŽ Performance Equine Formula contains just the right amount of protein, probiotics and vitamin E, to help ensure your horse’s good health. Contains organic selenium, yeast culture, enzymes and added flaxseed oil to help provide fuel for the muscles, a healthy digestive tract and good skin, hair coat and hoof condition.

FEEDING DIRECTIONS:

YEARLINGS: Feed AllegraŽ Performance Equine Formula to yearlings to achieve desired growth rate and body condition. This amount will vary depending on the amount and quality of available forage, activity level and metabolism of the individual horse. As a general guideline feed yearlings between 5-8 lbs. of AllegraŽ Performance Equine Formula per day, along with free access to good quality hay and/or pasture, salt and water.

Do not allow yearlings to become over-conditioned or fat. If this should happen, gradually reduce the amount of AllegraŽ Performance Equine Formula fed per day until the desired body condition is achieved.

Yearlings consuming less than 5 lbs. of AllegraŽ Performance Equine Formula per day, should receive 1/2 lb. of AllegraŽ Super Plus per day to ensure adequate amino acids, vitamins and minerals needed for proper development. See the General Feeding Guidelines below for transition instructions.

LAST TRIMESTER PREGNANT MARES, LACTATING MARES AND BREEDING STALLIONS: Feed to last trimester pregnant mares, lactating mares and breeding stallions, along with quality forage at a rate to maintain proper body condition. As a general guideline, feed between 5-8 lbs. and lactating mares between 8-12 lbs. of AllegraŽ Performance Equine Formula per day with free access to good quality hay and/or pasture, salt and water.

ATHLETIC ADULTS: Feed AllegraŽ Performance Equine Formula at a rate that is consistent with the body condition, metabolism and activity level of your horse. Horses competing in strenuous events need electrolytes and calories from multiple energy sources and AllegraŽ Performance Equine Formula provides these nutrients. As a general guideline, feed 8-10 lbs. of AllegraŽ Performance Equine Formula with free access to good quality hay and/or pasture, salt and water.

Horses competing in less strenuous activities should be fed as much forage as possible, while adjusting the amount of AllegraŽ Performance Equine Formula fed per day to maintain desired body condition and energy level; use 5-8 lbs. of AllegraŽ Performance Equine Formula per day as a starting guideline.

GENERAL FEEDING GUIDELINES:
Change to AllegraŽ Performance Equine Formula from other equine products gradually over a 5-7 day period to ensure a successful transition. Do not overfeed or offer AllegraŽ Performance Equine Formula on a free choice basis. Divide the grain ration into 2 or more feedings per day. Do not feed more than 0.5% of the horse's body weight in grain at any one time. Always try to maintain a regular feeding schedule. It is important to provide fresh clean water, plain salt and adequate forage at all times. Do not allow hot exercised horses free access to water until they have cooled-out.

CAUTION:
Follow label feeding directions. Feeding added Selenium at levels in excess of 0.3 ppm in the total diet is prohibited.
